NOTES ON HOW THE AGE GROUP CATEGORIES/DIVISIONS WERE DETERMINED FOR THIS EVENT:
* For various sports and associations within those sports,
there are governing guidelines with regards to the categories
or divisions in which participants compete in.
* For this event, the event organizers requested that age
group categories/divisions be calculated based on the age
that a participant would be at the end of the year, and
not based on the age that a person was on race day.
* An example of how age group categories/divisions were
assigned at this event is as follows: If an athlete was
13 years old on race day, and that athlete's birthday
wasn't until later that calendar year (after the race),
then the age used for category/division placement for
that race would be 14. A 14 year old athlete would then
be placed into the U16 (under 16) category, which is
for 14 and 15 year old participants.
* Another example: If an athlete was 49 years old on race day,
and that athlete's birthday wasn't until later that calendar year
(after the race), then the age used for category/division
placement for that race would be 50. A 50 year old athlete
would then be placed into the M5/M6 category, which is
for 50 to 59 year old participants.
* Below are the categories/divisions used for this event.
* An M or F next to the category/division in the online results
represents Male or Female designations.

Age at the end of the calendar year: 8-9, Category/Division: U10
Age at the end of the calendar year: 10-11, Category/Division: U12
Age at the end of the calendar year: 12-13, Category/Division: U14
Age at the end of the calendar year: 14-15, Category/Division: U16
Age at the end of the calendar year: 16-17, Category/Division: U18
Age at the end of the calendar year: 18-19, Category/Division: U20
Age at the end of the calendar year: 20-29, Category/Division: SR
Age at the end of the calendar year: 30-39, Category/Division: M1/M2
Age at the end of the calendar year: 40-49, Category/Division: M3/M4
Age at the end of the calendar year: 50-59, Category/Division: M5/M6
Age at the end of the calendar year: 60-69, Category/Division: M7/M8
Age at the end of the calendar year: 70-99, Category/Division: M9/M10
